Responsibilities

Collaborate across multiple disciplines throughout all phases of product development and testing for key aerospace programs
Responsible for architecting, designing, developing, modifying, evaluating and integrating electronic equipment, electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high performance hardware systems
Determines the design approaches and parameters
Analyzes electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
May use high level programming language to configure programmable logic devices
Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results
Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability and operational characteristics that may impact system performance and or sustainability
May review vendor capability to support development
Applies specialized skill sets to include digital, FPGA, DSP, CCA, power, antenna, RF and control systems knowledge as required
May develop, design, and assess the methodologies and performance of specialized algorithms for radar, communications, sonar, geophysical, and other sensor processing applications
Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction
Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches

Required

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
Comprehensive level knowledge of job area
In-depth knowledge of project management
Detail-oriented, experienced, and motivated
Ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines throughout all phases of product development and testing
Experience with circuit design, analysis, board layout, hardware debugging, and testing
Primary focus on Battery Management Systems (BMS) and related test equipment
Ability to architect, design, develop, modify, evaluate and integrate electronic equipment, electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high performance hardware systems
Ability to determine design approaches and parameters
Ability to analyze electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
Ability to use high level programming language to configure programmable logic devices
Ability to analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests and evaluate results
Ability to select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability and operational characteristics
