LHH is partnering with a valued firm that is seeking to hire a Commissioning Engineer to join their growing team. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality commissioning services across complex building systems, supporting projects from design review through functional testing and closeout.

Responsibilities

Lead commissioning activities from design review through functional testing and project closeout

Perform pre-functional and functional testing of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and BAS systems

Coordinate with TAB, controls contractors, and project teams to ensure system performance meets design intent

Review construction documents, submittals, and commissioning plans

Document commissioning activities, deficiencies, and resolutions

Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle

Qualification

Commissioning Authority CertificationHVAC systemsElectrical systemsControl systemsProject managementCommunicationDocumentation skillsOrganizational skills

Required

5+ years of experience in commissioning, facilities engineering, or building systems

Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and control systems

Experience coordinating with contractors, engineers, and owners

Ability to manage multiple projects and travel as required

Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Preferred

Commissioning Authority Certification highly preferred
