Responsibilities

Assist the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Communications Center with daily functions, including training seasonal staff, overseeing the chronic wasting disease reimbursement process, and responding to customer inquiries
Guide customers with online purchases, camping reservations, and hunting applications; provide information regarding disability programs and license fees
Monitor and assist seasonal staff to address questions and provide resources for customer inquiries
Gather, transcribe, track, contact, and submit Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) reimbursements for processing
Resolve problems and complaints from the public and determine when situations need to be escalated
Provide customers with the best options available for purchases and actively listen to customer comments/concerns

Required

Two (2) years of relevant experience in customer service, general clerical experience, or accounting in an office environment, work in a call center, office environment, retail, outdoor recreation services, guiding, outfitting, shooting sports, or land management
A combination of appropriate education in accounting, business, wildlife management, natural resource management, agriculture, or a related field of study will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
Your experience must be fully documented in your application work history
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent level of written and oral communication skills
Strong multitasking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite
Ability to work independently and take initiative by using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify solutions for customer or program challenges
State of Colorado residency is required at the time of application
Background Check required
Travel may occasionally be required for training and special events

Current or former State experience relevant to this position
Current or former Colorado Parks & Wildlife work or volunteer experience

Good working knowledge of computer-based technology
Bilingual in English and Spanish
