Accounts Receivable Supervisor

TOPPAN Packaging Americas is seeking an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to lead their general accounting team. The role involves managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and preparing financial reports while mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the general accounting team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency
Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation and support
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations
Mentor and develop team members, providing training and performance feedback
Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and initiatives
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting and finance

Required

Lead and manage the general accounting team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions

Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting and finance
5+ years of experience in general accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to adapt to changing business

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
