Responsibilities
Be a trusted strategic partner providing solution-oriented guidance and innovation to all bolt business units
Provide business-strategy-aligned legal and compliance support to all bolt business units, with an initial focus on Sales and Product
Identify and resolve legal and regulatory issues in a way that meets business objectives
Provide support to product, development, and distribution teams
Promote awareness of new laws and regulations and monitor ongoing compliance
Periodic and proactive review of legal and compliance requirements to anticipate legal issues that could impact bolt businesses
Review public communications, including advertising and marketing materials, to ensure compliance with any legal requirements and mitigate risk
Collaborate with various business units to assess and mitigate legal risks associated with new technologies, product development, and digital initiatives
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial templates and contracts, including SaaS and other product licensing agreements, data protection agreements (DPAs), technology procurement contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and vendor agreements
Assist in efforts to increase efficiency and speed in maintenance, delivery, and negotiation of business contracts
Advise on legal issues as needed by bolt business units, including artificial intelligence and cybersecurity
Monitor and analyze legislative developments affecting the tech industry
Foster and uphold a culture of compliance and ethical standards for bolt
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Active admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction
Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in technology law, with significant experience in technology/SaaS contract drafting and negotiation
Demonstrated ability to draft and revise complex commercial sales and licensing templates and custom agreements (including commercial and non-legal issues)
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
Proven track record of working autonomously while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative, growth mindset team player who can handle and assist with a variety of tasks
