IC&E Technician

Energy Job Search is seeking an IC&E Technician who plays a critical role in supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable production of liquefied natural gas. The technician will be responsible for maintaining instrumentation and controls, performing maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Staffing & Recruiting

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain PLC systems, field instrumentation, analyzers, control valves, pneumatic systems, motor control circuits, and low‑voltage electrical distribution systems (600 VAC and below)
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities in accordance with established programs
Accurately document maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Support root‑cause analysis efforts and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability
Collaborate closely with operations personnel to optimize LNG production and terminal performance
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and system issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations
Assist with the installation, commissioning, and start‑up of new equipment and systems
Provide technical input during project execution and equipment upgrades
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and company safety standards
Supervise contractors as required and enforce site safety policies and procedures
Share technical knowledge and provide training support as needed
Recommend improvements to equipment, systems, and processes to enhance operational efficiency

Required

Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with instrumentation, controls, or electrical systems in an industrial environment
Technical degree or certification in instrumentation or electrical systems (preferred)
Working knowledge of CMMS platforms and preventive maintenance programs
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, and technical schematics
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and decision‑making skills
Valid driver's license with the ability to travel occasionally within the United States
Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Demonstrated problem‑solving ability in high‑pressure environments
Willingness to continuously learn and adapt within the LNG and energy sector
Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with tools and equipment
Ability to work safely in industrial environments, including exposure to heat, cold, noise, and elevated work areas
Physically capable of performing hands‑on maintenance and troubleshooting activities
