Responsibilities
Ensure appropriate care is provided for all persons in the care of Ellisville State School per policies and procedures
Utilize supplies and equipment in an efficient manner
Assist in the development of work plans, schedule and supervise work of Direct Care Staff in order to provide care and complete assigned tasks correctly and within time frames
Maintain work activity checklists on assigned duties for subordinates/co-workers to complete job duties as necessary
Ensure each persons documentation is correctly completed
Ensure and document that housekeeping duties and related tasks are performed in an acceptable manner
Ensure that employee performance documentation, time sheets, etc. are completed and submitted
Attend in-services as required and ensure that staff attend all required training
Other duties as assigned

Required

Ability to be flexible in thinking and problem-solving
Realistic expectations about the difficulty and challenges of the work
Ability to handle an often-unpredictable work environment
Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency, and 3-5+ years of experience
Must have successfully completed the supervisory training or be eligible for successful passing and completion of supervisory training to be eligible for this position
Preferred
May require a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) designation
A Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) designation and three (3) to five (5)+ years of experience, may require some college credit by hiring agency
