Payroll Tax Manager
Performance Food Group is a company that supports America’s food distribution system and is seeking a Payroll Tax Manager. The role involves managing payroll tax activities, ensuring compliance, and fostering relationships with staff and vendors while leading a team of payroll tax analysts.

Responsibilities
Manages payroll tax activities associated with the weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing for PFG. Ensures correct tax set up on the associate and company level. Maintains multiple EINs and all tax jurisdictions to ensure proper tax treatment of existing and new payroll codes. Performs tax reconciliation at all levels, to include out-of-balances and variances and completes monthly, quarterly and annual filings. Leads organizing and completion of year-end duties. Conducts tax research and facilitates resolution of issues as needed. Oversees registration of tax accounts and Power of Attorney filings. Engages with third party vendors on tax credits/debits and other activities as required
Develops and implements payroll tax processes and procedures to achieve efficiencies across multiple interfacing and non-interfacing systems. Develops training material and conducts training for relevant OpCo staff and Corporate team members
Assists with special processing as needed. This may include bonus runs, quarterly and year-end adjustments/OOS payrolls and calculation and processing of imputed income. Provides guidance as needed in relation to relocation expenses, personal use of auto, awards, gifts, etc
Leads moderate to complex projects associated with the maintenance of payroll tax records and the preparation of payroll tax filings and related reports. Manages projects to implement payroll-related initiatives, including all testing of new developments and modifications to front end systems, upgrades and special templates
Manages the tax audit process and ensures compliance with jurisdictional regulations
Manages payroll tax analysts to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, direction, performance management and problem resolution. Grow and development the team
Keep Director informed of all matters with payroll tax and the team
Qualification
Required
5+ years Payroll tax in a large, multi-state environment
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with a major ERP application (i.e. ADP, UKG, etc.)
Minimum Of 1-3 Years Management/supervisory Experience
Exceptional customer service/relationship skills
Strong analytical skills to analyze and interpret data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience developing and facilitating relevant training
Comply with policies, procedures, and standards governing the privacy, confidentiality, and security of all protected health information and electronic protected health information (i.e. Security Standards for the Protection of Electronic Protected Health Information, Standards for the Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information issued under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996)
