Movement Disorder Therapeutic Area Lead, Global Medical Affairs

Responsibilities
Serve as the Medical Affairs leader for the therapeutic area, both internally and externally, representing Praxis with KOLs, investigators, patient advocacy groups, and at scientific and industry forums
Lead the development and execution of integrated medical brand and disease-state strategies, including advisory boards, congress planning and execution, field medical tactics, publication strategy, and medical review activities
Proactively build and manage relationships with healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and patient advocacy organizations relevant to the therapeutic area
Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Business Insights, Business Development, Finance, Legal, and other functions to support and advance corporate strategic objectives
Develop and execute Medical Affairs plans, including publication planning, medical advisory boards, educational programs, training initiatives, and scientific conferences
Lead the development, execution, and governance of Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS) and company-sponsored research strategies
Oversee external vendors and operational activities to ensure timely, high-quality, and compliant execution
Qualification
Required
Advanced degree (MD or DO) with 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs and/or clinical research; Neurologist preferred
Demonstrated leadership experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Research with a consistent record of high performance
Strong people leadership, collaboration, and team-building skills
Proven ability to organize and lead scientific advisory panels and to clearly communicate complex scientific and medical information to internal and external stakeholders
Solid understanding of U.S. regulations governing Medical Affairs activities
High intellectual curiosity with an innovative, problem-solving mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships and foster diversity, equity, and inclusion
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with a strong commitment to quality and compliance
