Responsibilities
Administer and maintain the Qualys Cloud Platform (VMDR, Vulnerability Management, Asset Management, Policy Compliance, WAS, etc.)
Configure and schedule internal, external, authenticated, and agent-based scans
Manage Qualys agents and scanners, including deployment, upgrades, and troubleshooting
Analyze vulnerability scan results, prioritize risks, and provide actionable remediation guidance
Work closely with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to track and remediate vulnerabilities
Customize dashboards, reports, and metrics for technical and executive audiences
Tune scans to reduce false positives and improve scan accuracy
Support compliance initiatives (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA)
Maintain asset inventory and tagging strategies within Qualys
Develop and maintain vulnerability management processes and documentation
Assist with incident response and security assessments as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
2+ years of hands-on experience with Qualys vulnerability management tools
Strong understanding of vulnerability management lifecycle and risk-based remediation
Experience with Windows, Linux, networking, and common enterprise applications
Familiarity with CVEs, CVSS scoring, and threat intelligence concepts
Ability to communicate security risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Qualys certifications (e.g., Qualys VMDR Specialist)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Knowledge of scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, APIs)
Experience integrating Qualys with SIEM, ticketing, or GRC tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Splunk)
Prior experience in regulated or large enterprise environments
