Business Planning Manager

Responsibilities

Assist the Director and the Site Business Managers in providing guidance on planning, cost savings, and execution of the unit’s business strategy
Develop and sustain detailed unit analysis through written reports and presentations providing critical information for timely strategy decisions
Assist the Director and Site Business Managers with client analysis and cost savings recommendations
Assist the Site Director in ensuring all aspects of Abrams client support exceed program goals
Assist the Site Manager in the synchronization of the mission support efforts at the TAP Warehouse, PTI Lab and any additional TAP contractual sites with Business Partners and the USG Customer
Generate and provide reports to Business Partners and USG Customer for all Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR)
Review and advise Business Partners and USG Customer on all inventory deviances
Work with Business Managers and process centers to accurately plan and resource the Abrams business strategy
Manage site deployment processes to meet U.S. Government requirements
Prepare and assist in briefings to GDLS Management, Product Management, and other U.S. Government (USG) departments and agencies by providing information on opportunities for client increases in effectiveness and efficiency
Work with logistics to ensure life cycle support requirements are considered and met and support elements are defined, developed and available to support testing and fielding of the Abrams family of vehicles
Master value opportunities in all core processes, including wholesale and retail supply, maintenance, training, and Army contracting
Coordinate and interface with key government points of contact to ensure availability of information, equipment, material, and facilities
Work with various STS and TAP Contract Line Numbers (CLINs)
Provides reports to Business Partner and USG Customer as required by the TAP Contract
Be available to assist in Site process identification, analysis, and improvement
Lead multi-functional teams
Perform other duties as required to meet GDLS business objectives

Required

Bachelors' Degree in business, logistics or a related field
Minimum of seven years' experience in organizations requiring a leadership-oriented, goal driven professional, experienced in training, planning, and execution of multi-echelon army operations
Knowledge and experience with the Army's current Readiness Model
Self-motivated expert in planning and synchronizing high level activities and functions in executive level organizations
Current knowledge and experience in managing Army maintenance, logistics support, supply chain management, and Army contracting
Current knowledge of current Army force structure, basic armored units' Table of Organization & Equipment (MTOE), and the current 'readiness' model/cycle
Current experience as either an Army logistician or a combat arms leader
Experience with Army logistics processes sufficiently capable of preparing business case studies in Army wholesale and retail supply business opportunities
Familiar with the M1 Abrams and M2 Bradley combat platforms
Understanding of fundamental program/project management principles
Excellent communications skills required (verbal and written)
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as both a Contributor and a Leader of a team
Excellent organizational skills
Self-motivated with an ability to work successfully in a team or independently
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project)
Must be able to travel
Must be a U.S. Citizen, capable of obtaining a valid U.S. Passport and Common Access Card (CAC)

Preferred

Master's Degree
Capable of analyzing the readiness model and provide customer support solutions aligned with the Army components to build and maintain unit readiness
Possess current knowledge and experience in managing Army maintenance, logistics support, supply chain management, and Army contracting
