Hands‑on experience with micro‑segmentation platforms
High-level understanding of network security architecture (firewalls, routing, zero‑trust principles)
Strong ability to analyze application dependencies and map east‑west traffic flows
Experience with configuration drift detection and maintaining policy consistency across environments
Strong troubleshooting skills for complex, multi‑tier application traffic issues
Experience collaborating with application owners and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and validate rules
Clear communication skills for explaining micro-segmentation decisions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Process discipline around change management, documentation, and policy lifecycle management
Security‑first mindset with an understanding of risk, exposure, and compliance implications
Ability to balance enforcement with operational stability (i.e. proficiency in creating and validating least‑privilege policies without disrupting business operations)
Demonstrated ability to work independently in ambiguous or evolving environments
Comfort working in hybrid or multi‑cloud environments
Qualification
