Responsibilities
Records journal entries and reviews general ledger details
Reconciles accounts to the general ledger
Research discrepancies and corrects errors
Creates, reviews and provides reports
Assists with external audit requests
Reviews transactions for compliance with company policy and GAAP
Works with Accounts Payable to ensure proper coding
Assists with the preparation of budgets
Duties may be general accounting in nature or more specialized and focused, e.g., fixed asset accounting
Perform other such duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or finance
2 to 4 years of public accounting or a combination of public and private accounting
Strong technical accounting skills
Understanding of GAAP
Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
Preferred
CPA certification
Oracle, Blackline or other G/L and Banking reconciliation software experience
Understanding of consolidated financial statements for multiple entities
