Enterprise Risk Management Intern
EastRise Credit Union is offering an internship that provides practical risk management experience within a credit union. The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Intern will collaborate with experienced professionals to learn about Compliance, Fraud Prevention, Business Continuity, and Vendor Management, preparing them for a career in risk management.

Responsibilities
Assist with scheduling and coordinating risk assessments across various business units within the credit union. Compile risk data to support strategic level assessments
Assist with maintaining up to date information for business continuity recovery and response efforts. Coordinate and facilitate business continuity plan updates by collaborating with business unit leaders
Assist with data integrity reviews and subsequent updates as warranted within various ERM functions
Assist with monitoring and tracking completion of compliance related trainings and acknowledgements
Assist with the completion of annual compliance due diligence efforts from initiation through completion
Support various ERM teams with document retention efforts (obtaining, scanning, and organizing documents to the credit union’s record retention system)
Support the Vendor Management Program Manager with data gathering and developing reports to support the credit union’s vendor program
Participate in team meetings, intern sessions, and company training as designated by your manager
Create and deliver a final group presentation about a selected project topic along with their key learnings to a group of stakeholders
Conduct and assist with other duties and special projects as requested
Qualification
Required
Strong analytical, attention to detail and time management skills needed
Currently pursuing or has a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Finance or closely related field of study
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with people leaders across the credit union
Strong judgment and critical thinking skills
Previous internship/work experience in banking/finance is ideal
Ability to receive and maintain confidential information is imperative
Must be at least 18 years of age
Favorable Background, Credit, Criminal, Bondability, and Reference Checks required. (Motor Vehicle check depending on position.)

Entry level understanding of risk management preferred
Junior or Senior class standing
