Legal Secretary
Responsibilities
Manage attorney calendars and schedule appointments, hearings, depositions, and court appearances
Coordinate and track discovery processes, including document requests, interrogatories, and production deadlines
Prepare, format, and proofread legal pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
File documents electronically with state and federal courts using their respective filing systems
Navigate state and federal court websites to retrieve case information, monitor deadlines, and verify filing requirements
Maintain organized electronic filing systems for client matters and case documents
Create and maintain legal pleading shells and document templates
Ensure compliance with court rules and filing procedures
Qualification
Required
Working knowledge of California state court and federal court procedures
Proficiency with electronic filing systems (e.g., TrueFiling, CM/ECF)
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a legal secretary
