Responsibilities
Provide customer service to guests and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a high-traffic retail and entertainment location
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, guest concerns and/or medical situations, and escalating to onsite leadership and/or emergency services as needed
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the venue, including entrances, common areas, retail spaces, parking areas and the perimeter, noting and reporting unusual activity and/or maintenance issues
Monitor access points and crowd flow, help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas, and assist with queue management during peak hours and special events
Complete required reports and documentation such as shift activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervisors and site contacts
Qualification
Required
Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Alarm panel experience is preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred
