Responsibilities
Design machine electrical systems including power distribution, control panels, and field wiring layouts
Develop and maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent tools
Select and specify industrial electrical components (e.g., breakers, contactors, relays, sensors, power supplies, VFDs/servo drives)
Support controls/automation integration by coordinating I/O lists, device wiring, safety circuits, and industrial networking hardware as needed
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and customer requirements (e.g., NFPA 79, UL 508A concepts, NEC best practices, safety circuits)
Provide technical support during build, FAT/SAT, installation, and commissioning at customer sites; troubleshoot electrical issues and implement corrective actions
Create and maintain project documentation including BOMs, wire lists, cable schedules, test procedures, and as-built drawings
Collaborate with mechanical and project teams to ensure complete system integration, manufacturability, and schedule alignment
Support continuous improvement by standardizing designs, improving panel practices, and updating templates/part libraries
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
3–7 years of experience in industrial machine electrical design, control panels, or related electrical engineering work
Proficiency with electrical design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar
Solid understanding of industrial control hardware, sensors, motor controls, VFD/servo drive integration, and safety circuits
Strong troubleshooting skills with a practical, solution-oriented mindset and ability to support on-site debugging
Willingness to travel up to 30–40% (domestic; occasional international as needed)
Preferred
Familiarity with PLC control panel wiring practices and industrial communications (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus) is a plus
Experience in manufacturing, automotive, packaging, or logistics automation environments is preferred
Bilingual skills in Chinese and English are preferred
