SBA & USDA Closing Specialist Supervisor
Centennial Bank is seeking an SBA and USDA Closing Specialist Supervisor to manage all aspects of loan closings. The role involves supervising closing specialists, overseeing loan processing, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Submit, manage and maintain loan package into bank systems
Upload SBA loans into CAFS/ETRAN to obtain SBA Loan Authorization Number (monitor for 90 day expiration of SBA AUTH, cancel expired or withdrawn SBA Authorizations)
Review pre-closing package (include loan officer), loans above $2 million require submission to the Closing/Loan Doc Review Dept prior to closing
Prepare closing checklist for borrower to prepare for closing
Order appraisals, surveys, environmental, title reports and verify rate changes
Submit vendor invoices to Accounting (Accounts Payable)
Engage Attorney and Title Agents for loan closings
Prepare internal reports and respond to internal inquiries regarding loan documentation
Submit vendor packages to vendor relations to add approved vendors (attorneys, appraisers, title agents, environmental consultants, business valuations)
Review the Application/forms/Packaging Checklist in bank systems to ensure all forms are correct and in the DocMan/Placeholder
Evaluate DocMan (nCino) to ensure that all of the SBA Application/forms and supporting documents were uploaded, review date on form and request updated forms if expired (120 days)
Perform lien/UCC searches prior to closing, engage attorney to verify search and perfect liens/UCCs record including follow up on UCC filings
Work directly with Loan Operations for booking loans
Maintain and update Procedures related to closing and funding SBA and USDA loans
Train and oversee/supervise Closing Specialists Assistants and acts as acts as Department Supervisor in absence of the Department Manager
Provide assistance with Loan Monitoring/Construction Specialist with loan disbursements and draw requests, as needed
Submit and prepare/cut checks for draw requests and GL tickets
Approve wires for loan closing/disbursements
Audit cashier checks/keep log
Review Loan Balances, balance to Loan Proceeds and prepare spreadsheet
Manage LIPS and SBA Pass-thru/GL
The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
Qualification
Required
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc
Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 5 years of related experience and/or training, and 5 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Two (2) to Five (5) years current training on SBA 7a/504 SOP (NAGGL/NADCO Courses)
5 years experience closing SBA 7a and 504 loans (complete packages/funding)
Experience and knowledge of SBA 7a/504/Express and USDA/OneRD products and services
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards applicable to USDA and SBA products
Intermediate: Presentation/PowerPoint, Word Processing/Typing, Spreadsheet, Other
Basic: Accounting, Alphanumeric Data Entry
Supervises a small group (1-3) of employees in the same or lower classification
Moderate diversity, moderately physical
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision
Normal working conditions as found within an office setting, wherein there is controlled temperature and a low noise level, plus a minimum of distractions
