Responsibilities
Utilize Siemens/Mentor PADS Designer and Layout software for PCB parts design
Utilize AutoCAD for mechanical design support
Create and maintain schematic symbols for Electrical CAD (ECAD) libraries using component vendor datasheets
Create and maintain copper pad footprints, solder mask, and solder paste patterns in accordance with: Vendor datasheets, IPC standards, Internal company design guidelines
Develop and maintain ECAD footprints for use by Mechanical Engineering teams
Ensure all fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly requirements are met
Review drawings and component datasheets for dimensional accuracy and compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience, OR
Graduate Degree with 0–2 years of related experience, OR
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of related experience
Preferred
Knowledge of CAD software tools
Familiarity with SMT and through-hole components and PCB packages
Understanding of mechanical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Strong attention to detail
Working knowledge of PLM tools such as Agile, Teamcenter, or similar systems
