Responsibilities
Assist the Property Manager in preparing comprehensive monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards
Manage vendor relationships, analyze property expenses, and reconcile accounts
Process payments, maintain accurate accounting records, and assist with audits
Rigorously monitor and control property expenditures against the approved annual operating and capital budgets
Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for cost optimization without compromising asset quality or service delivery
Directly manage and oversee all Accounts Payable (A/P) processes, ensuring accurate coding, timely processing, and adherence to purchasing policies
Assist with Accounts Receivable (A/R), focusing on efficient collection and reconciliation of all charges (rent, fees, utilities)
Ensure accurate and timely input of all lease data into the property management system, confirming correct calculations for rent, pro-rations, and deposits to maintain billing integrity
Maintain precise, auditable financial and legal records for all property transactions, ensuring full compliance with corporate policies and relevant real estate accounting standards
Qualification
Required
Minimum of one year of experience in real estate accounting, finance, or a related field
Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and practices
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
