Unified Communications Analyst
Unity Systems is seeking a Unified Communications Analyst to support an enterprise-wide upgrade to a SIP-based unified communications platform. The role involves planning, coordinating, and providing technical support for the migration from legacy systems, ensuring production stability and delivering documentation and training across business units.
Responsibilities
Support planning and scheduling for Avaya/Centrex to SIP migration
Create time and material estimates for new builds and large upgrades
Coordinate vendors, Local Exchange Carriers (LEC), and installation teams, including number porting
Provide advanced technical/design support for Avaya Communication Manager (CM), Call Center, and Avaya CMS
Troubleshoot complex issues across legacy Avaya and SIP/VoIP/Call Center platforms
Monitor call center performance metrics using Avaya CMS reporting
Document system configurations and procedures (Visio preferred)
Create end-user instructions/training materials; assist with agent training
Gather requirements; provide specs for upgrades/enhancements (API exposure a plus)
Travel to sites via personal vehicle or MBTA; support emergencies/events
Perform other assigned duties/projects
Qualification
Required
Hands-on Avaya CM, Call Center, and CMS support
SIP/VoIP troubleshooting experience
Vendor/carrier coordination for porting/cutovers
Strong documentation and communication skills
