This position will be involved in reviewing structural/geotechnical design documents for tenant projects and ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and Port Authority technical standards.

Responsibilities
Reviewing TAA submissions, previewing construction documents, analyzing and reviewing drawings, geotechnical-structural calculations, specifications, reports, specifications, and reports for completeness with codes and standards
Coordinating the review comments from others technical disciplines and preparing memoranda for transmitting comments to the line departments
Attending meetings with tenant Architect/Engineer of Records to discuss the review comments and resolve the issues
Assigning various technical disciplines for code review, and communicating with PA facilities to process TAA and design audit projects
Assure project compliance with building codes and standards
Perform related tasks
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in civil or structural engineering
At least 5 years of experience of diverse experience in building structural/geotechnical codes and systems
Proper understanding of structural/geotechnical disciplines related to building design and construction of transportation and related facilities
Comfortable acting as liaison between PA Tenants & Facilities and in-house application reviewers to ensure smooth workflow
Comprehensive computer skills, proficient in MS Suite, and ability & interest to learn various in-house and external software (Share Point, eBuilder, etc.)
Professional Engineer's license in State of New York and/or New Jersey
