Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or access control concerns
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a professional environment
Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and key control points, verifying credentials and directing visitors according to site procedures
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management
Qualification
Required
Have a minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience
Have a DD214 with honorable discharge or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate
1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Have a state, county, or city issued security license preferred
Have an armed guard card or license preferred
Have customer service experience preferred
