Responsibilities

Is color theory, typography and the 7 rules of graphic design part of your vernacular, and do you know how to tell a story through motion and design?
Experience in newsroom solutions and graphics workflows like Ross XPression & Chyron are an important part of this role
Collaboration and teamwork are as important as technical skills, as is the ability to brainstorm with producers on a conceptual / pre-production level to seamlessly integrate design / graphic elements with video to help elevate our KXAN campaigns

Expert-level After Effects

Motion design skills and tracking & compositing in a 3D environment
Ability to tell a story through motion and design
Creative leader and team player
Clear openness to critique and willingness to change course when needed
Ability to brainstorm with producers on a conceptual / pre-production level
Seamlessly integrate design / graphic elements with video

Preferred

Intermediate 3D software / Cinema 4D
Applicants with a news background and Marketing/Promotions experience
