Responsibilities
Provide customer service to shoppers, team members, and visitors by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or suspicious behavior
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting local emergency services when needed, and supporting management with next steps
Monitor access points, observe customer traffic patterns, and support loss prevention efforts by reporting suspected theft, policy violations, and/or disruptive behavior to the appropriate contacts
Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred
Loss prevention experience is preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred
