Responsibilities
Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hotel and resort location
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout guest areas, back-of-house spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity and conditions that could help to deter unwanted behavior
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with guest concerns, disturbances, medical calls, and fire or alarm conditions while coordinating with site personnel and/or public responders as needed
Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, monitoring entrances and service corridors, and directing visitors and deliveries according to site procedures
Complete accurate shift documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and activity reports, and communicate pertinent updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management
Qualification
Required
Have 2+ years of security experience
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred
A guard card and/or license is preferred
Loss prevention experience is preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
