Varney Agency is seeking a Commercial Lines Business Producer in Maine and New England. This position requires being an active presence in the community, talking to prospects, evaluating risk, and recommending appropriate insurance coverages to fit the business's needs.

Responsibilities
Own your pipeline-you build it, manage it, and close from it
Get out into the community, meet business owners, and create opportunities daily
Drive outbound activity, networking, and COI partnerships to fill your sales funnel
Ask smart questions, uncover risk exposures, and design solutions business owner's trust
Present coverage options confidently and close deals with decision-makers
Partner with a strong service team so you can stay 100% focused on production
Cross-sell amongst divisions within agency (Bonds, Benefits, Financial products)
Qualification
Required
A relentless business development mindset--you love the chase
Ability to build credibility quickly with business owners and executives
Strong communication skills and comfort leading high-stakes conversations
Goal-oriented, competitive, and committed to hitting activity and revenue targets
Experience in insurance, B2B sales, financial services, or a similar performance-driven field
Active Maine P&C license or willingness to obtain
