Commercial Loan Officer/Portfolio Manager

Responsibilities

Assist in managing existing customers and loan relationships, including draws, overdrafts, and past-due accounts
Gain experience originating and managing new loans
Serve as a guide for borrowers throughout the commercial loan process, from preparing loan applications through closing
Engage with the community and identify potential clients who may benefit from commercial lending opportunities
Demonstrate and apply a working knowledge of commercial loan structuring and funding options
Work directly with lending support staff throughout the lending cycle to ensure an outstanding customer experience
Identify and cross-sell additional bank products and services that benefit customers
Obtain and maintain licensing through applicable state and national authorities

Required

Two plus years of prior experience of commercial banking or lending account management required
Excellent customer service and strong communication skills
Strong mathematical, problem-solving and computer skills
Basic knowledge of banking operations, documentation, policy and procedures
Effective multi-tasking and organizational skills
Knowledge and understanding of loan funding options, sourcing and methodology, including USA, SBA, FSA, Farmer Mac, and SWAP
Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory banking and finance compliance requirements
Willingness to proactively cross-sell bank products & services

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in finance or business administration preferred
