Responsibilities
Weld structural steel members using the MIG (GMAW) wire-feed process
Perform welding in 3G and 4G positions following safety-oriented procedures
Interpret welding symbols and understand testing requirements
Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Collaborate effectively within a team environment
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision
Qualification
Required
Weld structural steel members using the MIG (GMAW) wire-feed process
Perform welding in 3G and 4G positions following safety-oriented procedures
Interpret welding symbols and understand testing requirements
Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Collaborate effectively within a team environment
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision
High School Diploma or GED required
Ability to pass 3G and 4G weld tests using the GMAW process on 3/8” material
Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement
Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and understand testing requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures (up to 28 inches off the floor) as needed
Comfortable working in varying temperatures and noise levels (90+ decibels)
Preferred
Related experience as a certified structural steel welder preferred
MIG welding: 2 years (Preferred)
