Responsibilities
Provide leadership, guidance, direction, and motivation that maximize operational effectiveness
Define, implement, and revise operational policies and guidelines in order to maximize efficiency and productivity
Work with each operation and department to set clear goals and prioritize all duties, tasks, and functions for operational efficiently
Identify, communicate, and drive implementation of new initiatives, investments, and improvement projects
Establish a managerial climate that encourages teamwork and promotes collaboration among all team members
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement
Maintain all DME regulatory guidelines and standards
Ensure that all medical billing practices are in compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and HIPAA regulations and guidelines
Communicate effectively with customers, government agencies, healthcare professionals, manufacturing and insurance companies on a continuing basis
Establish metrics for key areas of measurement within DME operations and hold teams accountable to achieve or exceed these goals
Make final determination for potential future shipments for insurances; analyzing if the contract is profitable
Demonstrate awareness of company’s revenue margins through decisions and actions in order to maximize profits
Understand the Accreditation process and maintain compliance with all standards
Qualification
Required
Excellent verbal, written and computer skills with the ability to manage a multiple location team environment
Superb organizational competence and quality orientation required
Excellent project and program management skills desired
Proficient in the knowledge of healthcare products, Medicare law, deductibles, co-payments and third party reimbursement for customer education and employee training purposes
Ability to perform short and long term planning needed
Minimum of 10-15 years of management and operations experience in a customer service with healthcare environment strongly preferred
Must have a broad base of healthcare products knowledge and billing operations experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Preferred
P & L experience helpful, but not necessary
