Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end strategy engagements, from problem definition and hypothesis development through analysis, synthesis, and executive recommendation
Drive research, analysis, and development of major strategic deliverables, including market entry strategies, growth roadmaps, portfolio assessments, and competitive response plans
Partner with senior leaders to evaluate strategic tradeoffs and align initiatives with enterprise priorities
Conduct market sizing and forecasting using customer budget analysis to determine market size, growth rates, key segments, and competitor positioning
Analyze U.S. and international defense spending trends, customer priorities, and procurement dynamics to inform strategic planning
Provide timely, data-driven insights on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive threats and opportunities
Work closely with strategic business units to understand their markets, customers, and competitive landscapes critical to execution of business strategies
Translate enterprise strategy into actionable insights tailored to individual business units
Facilitate structured discussions and workshops with cross-functional teams
Develop business cases, sensitivity analyses, and scenario models to evaluate strategic options, investments, and inorganic opportunities
Support evaluation of mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and alliances, including strategic rationale, market attractiveness, and financial implications
Synthesize complex financial and strategic information into clear, executive-level recommendations
Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, and visualizations for senior leadership, including executive briefings and decision memos
Tell a compelling strategic story using data, visuals, and clear logic to influence decision-making
Develop new analytical tools, dashboards, and visual frameworks to support internal deliverables and recurring business needs
Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve strategy and analytics processes
Apply consulting-style best practices to improve rigor, speed, and consistency of strategic work products

Required

Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of 12+ years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10+years' experience
Experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or a closely related strategic role
Prior experience in a top-tier consulting firm and/or internal corporate strategy team, with demonstrated use of structured strategic decision-making frameworks
Recent and direct experience in the aerospace and defense industry, with understanding of market structure, customers, and competitive dynamics
Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple workstreams and deliver under tight timelines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executives and working with teams
Hands-on experience in data analysis, research, and visualization, including business case development, market assessments, and sensitivity analysis
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Graduate degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related field
Significant knowledge of the U.S. Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community, including budgeting, acquisition, and mission priorities
Advanced experience with complex financial modeling, scenario analysis, and investment evaluation
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and influence without direct authority
