They are seeking an Associate Technician / Electrical Engineer to assist with research, design, and testing of postal automation equipment while gaining hands-on engineering experience.

Responsibilities
Assisting engineers with research, concept development, and early design work
Performing component qualification, testing, and integration
Building and testing prototypes
Participating in compliance and safety testing
Creating instructional manuals, guides, test plans, and reports
Developing and maintaining engineering drawings and models
Wiring and assembling control panels and machines
Using electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)
Diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctioning components
Building custom test fixtures
Supporting documentation control processes
Helping production teams with technical challenges and testing needs
Qualification
Required
Ability to work the following: During the Spring/Fall Semesters: a minimum of 20 hours/week (Monday – Friday, no nights or weekends)
Ability to work the following: During the Summer: a minimum of 32 hours/week (Monday – Friday, no nights or weekends)
Basic electrical knowledge
Experience with electrical test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong Communication skills
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail
Preferred
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Soldering or Wiring
2D CAD programs (Altium)
Basic circuit design
