Laboratory Technician I

As a Laboratory Technician, you will perform laboratory testing to provide reliable analytical services to Operations and customers, ensuring adherence to health and safety policies and maintaining good laboratory practices.

Environmental Services

Responsibilities

Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
Completes material analysis to determine characteristics and waste profiles of all incoming waste samples in accordance with laboratory operations and procedure manuals
Completes analysis of samples from plant systems to confirm conformance with proper operating limits, and residual analysis from incineration processes to determine land disposal restrictions
Operates and assists with the productive maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and equipment
Utilizes and upholds good laboratory practices (e.g. QA/QC, safety, documentation, maintenance/minor repairs, housekeeping, professionalism)
Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Required

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field (required)

Preferred

1+ year of environmental/industrial laboratory experience (preferred)
