Technical Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities by sourcing and recommending custom polymer and manufacturing solutions
Present and demonstrate technical features and manufacturing capabilities to prospective clients
Build, maintain, and grow strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships
Travel to customer sites to provide personalized service, technical support, and solution guidance
Collaborate closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to develop accurate, competitive pricing, quotes, and proposals
Manage sales activities to consistently meet or exceed established revenue and growth targets
Understand sales and manufacturing processes, identify risks, and proactively develop mitigation strategies
Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and timelines
Travel 25–50%, primarily regional
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
Previous experience in customer-facing technical sales, engineering, or project-based roles
5+ years of progressive experience in project engineering and technical sales
Understanding of material flow and manufacturing operations
Experience with MRP/ERP systems
Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (MS Project preferred) and design/visualization software
Ability to manage and contribute to multi-disciplinary projects
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities
Self-motivated with the ability to influence and motivate others
Strong analytical skills and sound judgment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Light physical activity, including lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently
Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear for extended periods
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, grasp, and use hands and fingers as required

Preferred

Knowledge of plastics manufacturing and mold fabrication processes
Familiarity with polymer materials, applications, and related manufacturing processes
