Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is a cultural and civic cornerstone of New York City. They are seeking a Social Media Intern to support digital content creation and community engagement efforts that help amplify Lincoln Center’s programming and mission across platforms.

Responsibilities

Draft social media posts to promote Lincoln Center Presents events
Support editing of social graphics and video content
Assist during video content shoots
Respond to messages and comments in social inboxes to foster community engagement
Help create and post Instagram Stories
Participate in brainstorms for social content planning
Research trends and ideas to inform future campaigns and content
Support social influencer campaigns by assisting with research and outreach

Required

A college student or graduate student with an interest in communications, social media, graphic design and content creation, or marketing
Based in New York City or the Greater NYC area
Available to work 20-35 hours per week from March/April-August 2026
20 hours per week from March/April 2026 - June 2026
35 hours per week from June 2026 - August 2026
Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends to support live event coverage
Familiar with major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, etc.)
Experience with video editing for social media (using tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Reels, TikTok etc.)
Experience with graphic design software (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva)
Able to write social copy with minimal grammatical or spelling errors
Comfortable with collaboration and proactive communication
A self-starter who also thrives in team environments

Preferred

Samples of previous work/social media content as relevant. Can include but is not limited to videos, graphics, social media posts, etc
