Responsibilities
NERC FAC-008 Compliance: Create the Verifact package, perform full desktop reviews if needed, issue for field verification, address rejections promptly, and complete both preliminary and final QA/QC to ensure work meets quality and acceptance criteria
Configuration Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive program tracking system changes and as-built transmission assets, implement robust document control, versioning, and change-management practices. Prioritize and allocate resources to meet urgent operational needs while supporting long-term goals
Risk Management: Lead risk assessments and mitigation for configuration changes. Investigate process failures to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
Collaboration: Engage stakeholders across the organization to align real-time engineering practices with business objectives
Technical Work: Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments, applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Typically 2+ years of related engineering experience
Individuals with a Master's or Doctorate in engineering may be considered for entry at this level
Acceptable alternatives: Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Professional Engineer (PE) license in any U.S. state
Acceptable alternatives: Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree from a university with an ABET-accredited program
