Test Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

They are currently seeking a Test Engineer Intern for Summer 2026, who will support the research, development, testing, and evaluation of security systems for the Department of Homeland Security.

Responsibilities

Works with other team members to test engineers in test planning, conduct test execution methodology, data collection/reduction/analysis, and technical report writing for transportation security systems
Additional responsibilities include supporting engineering design reviews, and engaging representatives of Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and working directly with vendors and stakeholders in enhancing technologies and capabilities in developmental lifecycle support
Support continous improvement under the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
Work independently and as a member of a multi-functional, dynamic team

Required

Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Must be a self-starter, adaptable, able to dynamically change focus while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an Active DOD Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain Transportation Security Administration Suitability
