Responsibilities

Ensure Adult Protective Services (APS) investigations meet the standards outlined in Alaska Statutes, the APS Policy and Procedure Manual, and all applicable state and federal regulations through comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) process reviews
Manage and facilitate the APS Multi-Disciplinary Team, coordinating with State and community agency stakeholders to support effective collaboration and case outcomes
Work collaboratively with the APS Protective Services Manager to provide internal controls, identify areas for program improvement, assess training needs within the APS team, and support the APS management team in developing and delivering training
Make recommendations on policies and procedures to support the implementation of APS best practices. Develop Proficiency Improvement Plans (PIPs) based on findings from QA reviews to support staff performance and continuous quality improvement
Travel frequently within Alaska by multiple modes of transportation

Required

Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving

Requires frequent travel within the State of Alaska

Knowledge of the guidelines, regulations, and procedures associated with investigation, including interviewing, evidence detection, locating, gathering, and handling, and drawing appropriate factual inferences and conclusions
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools of quality assurance, quality control, and reliability used to ensure that a project, system, or product fulfills requirements and standards
Develops networks and builds alliances; collaborates across boundaries to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals
