Responsibilities
Monitor, assess, and report on data restore and disaster recovery (DR) capabilities across on-premise and cloud environments
Coordinate, perform, and document DR failovers within DLA cloud environments
Maintain and optimize enterprise backup solutions to meet mission objectives
Perform routine health checks, preventative maintenance, and storage performance tuning
Conduct storage analysis, capacity planning, and performance planning
Execute pre, post, and test failover activities in support of the Information System Contingency Plan (ISCP)
Conduct annual failover and disaster recovery testing for enterprise file shares in government cloud environments
Produce after-action reports detailing failover and recovery activities
Design, implement, and manage storage arrays, fiber switches, and related infrastructure
Research, build, and deploy file-sharing technologies to meet customer requirements
Troubleshoot complex storage issues across on-premise and cloud platforms
Ensure high availability and performance of critical enterprise applications
Support Cybersecurity Cloud Vulnerability Assessments (CVA) in NIPRnet and SIPRnet environments
Identify vulnerabilities, implement hardening measures, and recommend best practices aligned with DoD standards
Author and maintain policies, procedures, and technical documentation for storage and backup environments
Prepare reports on storage best practices, emerging technologies, and optimization recommendations
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional engineering experience supporting enterprise storage and backup technologies
3+ years of hands-on experience managing hybrid storage infrastructures (Azure and/or AWS)
2+ years of hands-on enterprise SAN experience, including: Fibre Channel zoning, iSCSI, FCoE, HBA/CNA, storage controllers, LUNs, RAID, NAS, and file-sharing technologies
Experience operating enterprise backup and restore solutions such as: Veritas NetBackup, AWS Backup, Azure Recovery Services / Site Recovery
Active Secret clearance (or higher)
Sensitivity Level: IT-I – Critical Sensitive (Tier 5 / SSBI)
IA Level: IAT II
2+ years supporting Department of Defense (DoD) IT systems

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Administrator / Architect / Implementation Engineer
