Data Warehouse Engineer

Designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining the University’s enterprise data warehouse
Working with campus stakeholders and other data consumers to determine requirements, design solutions, and model data
Design, implementation, testing, documentation and support of data models, programs, data pipelines, and scripts that produce appropriate and useful business intelligence capabilities for the campus community
Developing and supporting methods to integrate data with the campus computing infrastructure, utilizing current technologies and DevOps philosophies
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS-specific and general relational database technologies
Demonstrated experience designing, building and optimizing data sets, data pipelines and architectures
Demonstrated experience designing, developing and supporting data warehouse star schema models and applications
Demonstrated skills using database/query languages to store, manipulate, and retrieve data (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or Aurora)
Demonstrated programming skills using modern languages (e.g., Python)
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment
The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment
