Responsibilities
Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile inventory subledger to the general ledger
Record inventory receipts, adjustments, and transfers, and post inventory-related journal entries including cost of goods sold (COGS)
Participate in physical inventory counts and conduct variance analysis
Process and record vendor invoices in the ERP system
Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Prepare and process vendor payments, and maintain vendor master data and documentation
Prepare and issue customer invoices, apply and reconcile cash receipts, and monitor accounts receivable aging
Resolve billing discrepancies
Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and inventory adjustments
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Maintain audit-ready accounting documentation
Assist with multi-state sales and use tax filings, and maintain exemption certificates and supporting documentation
Prepare management reports and supporting schedules
Assist with audits and external accountant requests
Support accounting process improvements and special projects
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of bookkeeping or general ledger accounting experience
Hands-on experience with ERP system QuickBooks Enterprise (QBE) required
Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with inventory accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end close
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
Experience in inventory-based or distribution environments
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
