They are seeking a motivated individual for a DBA Summer Intern position, where the intern will gain hands-on experience in database management while working under close supervision and mentorship.

Responsibilities
Installs, implements, tests and maintains relational database software including patches, updates and upgrades and related hardware
Familiarity with AWS technologies
Monitor database performance and provide tuning support
Help with backup and recovery procedures
Assist in managing user permissions and data security
Take inventory of server configurations, permission grants, and unused objects, and provide recommendations for server configuration best practices and database cleanup
Write SQL queries, scripts, and documentation
Support database migration, integration, and deployment projects
Help troubleshoot database issues and provide resolutions
Assist database users with queries and permissions
Work with the team to understand data needs across departments
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Pursuing undergraduate degree
Area of Study: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or related field
Exposure to various operating systems, such as Windows and Linux
Coursework in or exposure to any relational database management software
Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage
Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required
Analytical thinkers with a strong attention to detail
Organized and able to manage time and multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work independently on special projects
Ability to effectively contribute to a team environment
Preferred
Experience in Microsoft Office products
