They are seeking a Senior Engineer for the Civil/Structural Design Engineering team at Millstone Power Station, responsible for developing design change packages and providing technical support for engineering-related issues.

Responsibilities
Develop design change packages to provide for engineered plant improvements and solutions to operations and maintenance problems which ensure long-term equipment reliability. This position also requires engagement with implementing personnel and operations throughout the installation phases
Prepare/amend/revise calculations in support of station engineering products
Provide routine technical support for design-related issues in construction, maintenance, and operations which may include the development of engineering technical evaluations and solutions
Provide programmatic inputs and expertise in relation to requirements and design for flooding
Perform inspections and prepare reports per the requirements of the Condition Monitoring of Structures Program
Qualification
Required
3+ years of relevant engineering experience for Engineer level; 5+ years for Senior level; 7+ years for Staff level
Knowledgeable in the design and construction of structural components and buildings
Skilled in use of advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts and practices of the field and related sciences and disciplines
Strong leadership skills with proven ability to serve as team project lead
Provide guidance to less experienced engineers
Strong oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing)
Strong personal computer skills
Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems
Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices (e.g. AISC, ASME etc.)
In depth knowledge of various computer applications, with the ability to manipulate personal computer applications and perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g. Excel, MathCAD, GT Strudl etc.)
Equally effective working independently or in team environment
Proven decision making skills
Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks
Strong planning, organizational and project management skills
Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program
Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own Engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord
Possess a 4-year degree in Engineering (non-ABET accredited), Physics, Chemistry, Math or Engineering Technology and a post-graduate Engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same Engineering discipline is ABET-accredited
Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license
Bachelor's in Engineering
