Responsibilities
Designed, deployed, and maintained Akamai Property Manager configurations to front AWS ALB and API Gateway workloads, including advanced caching rules, redirect logic, and security headers to improve site performance and edge protection
Administered Kona Site Defender WAF policies to protect enterprise applications from OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities; created custom rules and tuning policies to minimize false positives while maintaining a strong security posture
Implemented and maintained Bot Manager configurations, including bot classification, rate-limiting, and whitelisting of trusted automation, reducing malicious bot traffic and improving application reliability
Managed TLS certificate lifecycle through Akamai Certificate Provisioning System (CPS), including SAN management, automated renewals, and rollout coordination across multiple environments
Integrated real-time Akamai log data with SIEM platforms such as Splunk to support incident detection, triage, and forensic analysis
Collaborated with development and security teams to secure application endpoints, harden CDN configurations, and enforce zero-trust access controls at the edge
