Business Development & Community Relations
Confidential company is seeking a Business Development & Community Engagement Manager to drive commercial and municipal growth while serving as a brand ambassador. This role focuses on strategic business development, stakeholder engagement, and communications to support organizational growth and sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities
Identify, pursue, and secure new municipal and commercial business opportunities while supporting customer retention and growth
Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, businesses, and community partners
Represent the organization at civic meetings, trade shows, community events, and facility tours
Deliver presentations and educational outreach to schools, civic groups, and business stakeholders
Collaborate with internal teams on pricing, proposals, contracts, logistics, and special events
Support community-facing communications, including newsletters, presentations, and social media engagement, aligned with brand standards
Track and report sales pipeline activity, performance metrics, and revenue outcomes
Qualification
Required
Minimum of three years of B2B sales or business development experience with demonstrated success
Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and represent the organization professionally
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred
Experience working with municipalities, commercial customers, or community organizations
Background in recycling, waste, environmental services, or sustainability strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
