Responsibilities

Analyzing physics-based software code, software requirements and implementing code changes
Updating design documentation, unit-testing, and selling of the requirements through formal testing
Analyzing and prototyping software solutions for outstanding Operational Software Change Requests (OSCRs)
Assisting senior engineers to resolve anomalies in a timely manner
Actively seeking to increase domain knowledge and proactively raising technical concerns or obstacles with senior developers and the product lead

Required

12 Years experience with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 8 Years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.)
8 years of experience leading Engineering teams with the ability to plan, execute, and manage the technical scope, and support leadership planning
8 years of experience using languages such as C/C++, Matlab, and Python
8 years of experience with specification, design, implementation, integration, and maintenance of aerospace systems
8 years of with software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting
ICBM targeting and/or trajectory shaping experience

Preferred

Experience with orbital mechanics, launch vehicle dynamics, numerical methods
Experience with developing, analyzing, and maintaining 3DOF or 6DOF simulations and simulation architecture
Experience with FORTRAN programming
Experience in full software lifecycle: Requirements analysis, coding, testing, and sell off
