Software Engineering Intern CI/CD (Summer 2026)

They are seeking a motivated Software Engineering Intern to support the design, development, and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with engineers to automate build, test, and deployment processes.

Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and support CI pipelines including version control and Github Actions
Deploy and manage build artifact repositories for Docker, .NET, ASP.NET using Artifactory/jFrog and Github Packages
Automate processes for deployment, testing, and release management
Collaborate with developers to improve software quality
Train other staff members in best practices
Implement security controls into the pipeline
Monitor the health of pipelines and analyze metrics for optimization
Perform needs assessment and evaluate new technology
Engage external vendors when needed to solve complex problems or bugs
Provide occasional after-hours support
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
Career interest or desire for DEVOPS, CI/CD, and developing automations
Must be a self-starter, adaptable, able to dynamically change focus while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an Active DOD Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security and Transportation Security Administration Suitability
Preferred
Experience with installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring CI/CD pipeline tools
Experience with Github and Github Actions
Experience with artifact and binary management tools such as Artifactory, Sonatype Nexus Repository Manager
Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins, Rundeck, Ansible
Experience with Linux containers such as Docker
Experience with programming languages (C#, Python, Java)
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
Ability to effectively document all technical designs and solutions
