Responsibilities
Design and deploy next-generation control and drive electronics
Create detailed design packages and testing electronics to troubleshooting complex systems that directly impact nuclear energy technology
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, lead projects, mentor engineers, and interact with clients
Apply analytical methods, simulations, and industry standards to design safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions that keep our operations moving forward
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering plus 6+ years of experience (or equivalent) in industrial electronics, preferably with a focus on power electronics and electric machinery (PEEM) design
1+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, embedded systems design, and R&D
Strong technical knowledge spanning low-voltage DC through three-phase systems
Proficiency with engineering tools like PSPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, and/or CAD
Excellent communication, presentation, and computational skills
The ability to obtain (or already hold) a “Q” security clearance
Preferred
Active “Q” or Top Secret security clearance
A Master's degree or 12+ years' experience in industrial electronics design
Experience in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated environments
Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (UL, IEEE, NEC, ANSI, OSHA, NUREGS)
Background in electric motor design/manufacturing or embedded software development
A passion for solving complex engineering challenges with innovative, real-world solutions
