Responsibilities
Follows an effective sales process while delivering exceptional member service
Assists members with transactions. Supplies information and answers questions about all loan and deposit products/services and resolves problems
Receives and accurately processes member financial transactions. Balances cash drawer and daily transactions
Assists with opening and closing of branch office and balancing procedures
Qualification
Required
Identify member needs through the use of consultative sales techniques
Process transactions and respond to service requests
Educate members on options
Broad knowledge of operations, all Credit Union products and services including features
Use independent analysis and judgment to effectively resolve difficult or complex situations within guidelines while ensuring member satisfaction
Must comply with government and other regulations affecting the credit union industry including, but not limited to, OFAC and the Bank Secrecy Act
Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience
Education: (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature
Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level
Skill and ability to use and operate a keyboard (typewriter), computer, calculator, fax machine, copier and telephone
Skill and ability to read and understand financial statements, contracts, applications, computer printouts, manuals and other related materials
Must have the skill and ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle controls; and talk or hear
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, or kneel
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
