Responsibilities
Participate in on-the-job training (OJT) alongside experienced maintenance technicians and leaders
Support the troubleshooting, maintenance, startup, and commissioning of plant equipment
Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to ensure safe and reliable equipment operation
Assist in routine preventive maintenance tasks and daily inspections
Learn how to identify mechanical and electrical issues using measuring instruments, diagnostics, and drawings
Practice safe work behaviors and contribute to maintaining a clean, hazard-free environment
Engage in continuous improvement by identifying areas for operational or maintenance enhancements
Build technical skills and professional confidence in a real-world industrial setting
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled and in good academic standing in the Mechatronics or Electrical Systems Program at Albany Technical College
Strong interest in industrial maintenance, electrical and mechanical systems, and safety practices
Willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a high-performing team
Preferred
Experience with hand or power tools
Familiarity with maintenance concepts, such as troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, or machine diagnostics
Interest in continuous learning, process improvement, and manufacturing excellence
Strong communication skills and a proactive, self-motivated work ethic
